When Repair Isn't Enough, We've Got You Covered
Not every crack or chip can be repaired. When the damage is too large, too deep, or in your line of sight, a full windshield replacement is the safest option. Tim's Auto Glass uses OEM and OEE quality glass and industry-leading urethane adhesives to ensure your new windshield is as strong and safe as the original — often ready to drive in as little as one hour.
When Should You Replace vs. Repair?
Crack longer than 6 inches
Cracks that extend across your field of vision or are longer than 6 inches typically cannot be safely repaired.
Chip larger than a quarter
Larger chips compromise the structural integrity of the glass and require full replacement.
Damage in driver's line of sight
Any damage directly in front of the driver can impair visibility and must be replaced for safety.
Multiple cracks or chips
When there are several points of damage, replacement is more cost-effective and safer than multiple repairs.
